An early form of money that was used in what is now Ukraine are Skythian spearpoints, these were used at or about the same time that the dolphins were being used as money:

This is one of the nicest examples of dolphin money I have seen, unfortunately my 12 yr. old daughter, a dolphin fanatic now, saw it when I imaged it this afternoon and wants it. So I will have to get one for her.

They are some bronze alloy.

So what was the time frame on these? Around 1000 - 600 BC?
Scottishmoney
Approximately then. Probably closer to 600 BC though.
