What if the Mint did a .999 fine copper American Eagle? Would you buy one?
Personally I'd order a couple of each just for myself. Well struck copper is just.....

This was brought up on CU by Cladiator.

I'd get one and watch it oxidize nicely over the years

In the past I've had similar ideas so I think that would be great!

If the price were reasonable, sure.

That's what concerned me.
How much would they charge? I think $3-5 would be reasonable. How about you?

Problem is the face value though. Since the silver bullion coins are of 1 dollar, well geez, what would the copper bullion ones be. Quarter? Dime?

People on CU were suggesting 2 cents, to kind of honor the old 2 cent pieces. I think it'd be a cool idea.

Make it One Cent, and it would be the largest of the Large Cents I'd buy two ... one goes in an airtite, one goes on the windowsill

As long as it had some classy design and not just some dumb face...

Probably not. If I wanted a 1-oz copper/bronze, I'd get a cartwheel penny

The Denver mint did a Centennial Medal in 1976. I have one in silver and one in copper. If the design was better than average I'd certainly buy a couple. Who knows with copper going as high as it has been lately, it could be an investment.

If it's a US Mint piece I'm there.
