A detector find in Nova Scotia.


Unfortunatly...not mine.
I don't know anything about old world stuff but I would guess 1500's?

well from the cross on the reverse it looks like an old europein coin and from the numbers on the observe looks like it was made in 1712 (maybe not that sure)

hmm the design does say 15th - 16th century

It appears that this turned out to be a reproduction...From a kids game.
Thats the thing about Detecting...Ya never know what your gonna get.

Looks like a Spanish 1712 silver "cob" 8 reales from Philip V.
Spanish coins were used extensively in the British New World colonies.
