At a bazaar here in Afghanistan, I have recently acquired a 1939 British India Anna one quarter coin, with King George V Emperor on the back. It's not in mint condition but isn't bad, with only a little smoothing out of the King George profile. Is it worth anything?
Also, I have seen a coin that is a bit larger than a US half dollar. I don't know what it's made of, but it has the profile of a man, looks like a soldier, and what appears to be Greek writing. There's no discernable date, and the coin is blackened with green, looks like corrosion like on a copper coin. There are also some smaller, similar coins available.
Can anyone tell me anything about these?
