Went to the Texas Renaissance Festival today and dropped by the "Royal Mint" they have a drop hammer mint set up there for medallions.

.999 silver they gave the option of "toning it" there. I should have either passed or had him put it on lightly.

Not sure. I did get a couple of the
Wheresgeorge notes.

I had to dig it out, I would have bought the £5 and £10 notes, but these were the good old days when my then girlfriend(now wife) and I were poor so I could only afford one £1 note.
This is a pretty attractive design with St. George on the obverse and the dragon and his money pile on the reverse.

me2, in fact I might run down there tomorrow if the weather is nice.
Although in the end a job becomes just a job, I kind of envy the guy minting the coins...I have always wanted to try my hand at designing and minting my own coin. I guess I have the Conder Token do it yourself Spirit but I fear its a big investment.

I think the part about it I like the best is the demonstrations. Blacksmith, glassblower, falconer, etc.
