Either I am having issues reading or I have won some sort of lottery: swoon.gif

(I really want to know what the final price ended up to be)

I finally found an Anna ruble that looks awfully similar to what I have, except mine is double striked over some unknown planchet and has some sort of issues.

It DOES have the double star variety that I have been looking all over the major coin auction catalogues but this might be one of the first one that I come across other than in GM that Grivna has kindly shown me the other day.

Do I have the exact same variety or there is something else that's different?

The coin at ada auction is in GREAT condition, plus they claim that portrait side is unrecorded in numismatic sources.
You coin is very interesting and I am sure it can bring $1000+.

I think gx is grinning from ear to ear, even as he struggles back to his feet after having fallen out of his chair. biggrin.gif

Too right there Grivna! biggrin.gif

I never paid any more than 500USD for any of my Russian coins, simply because I couldn't afford to and ironically I think the most I have paid for is the Soviet 1991 Palladium proof coin, not any of the Imperial Rubles that you might imagine (including the commemorative rubles). So... you can guess what kind of ridicious prices I paid for them. hysterical.gif

And yes, I paid less than 500USD for the 1/2 oz platinum coin in the past, where today's price should be at least 600USD at the moment... it would be a good time to sell I guess biggrin.gif
