The old currency of Estonia, Mark which was divided into 100 Penni, was badly inflated and had to be replaced in 1927. The new currency, Kroon was equal to 100 old Mark and divided into 100 Senti. Kroons were in use until the Soviet occupation in 1940 when they were replaced with Roubles.
