Just a quick question if anyone has any idea. How do you distinguish the Goodacre presentation finish from the rest of the 2000p dollars? I'm assuming they are released from the mint in cases, but I was wondering if there was any difference other than the finish?

Thanks

There is a page someplace on there about the Goodacre Sac. Can't find it now....maybe someone else can.

Edit: Finally found the Goodacre page. I knew it was there. http://home.earthlink.net/~smalldollars/dollar/page24.html

No there is not any difference other than the finish. But it should be noted that the Goodacre coins ( 5,000 of them ) have the same burnished finish as the 75,000 coins released in the Millenium sets.

There are however some few Goodacre coins that were not burnished - and there are some from the Millenium sets that were not burnished as well. But examples of each are few and far between.

If the Sac is in a slab that identifies it as a Goodacre presentation coin then it has the Goodacre burnished finish. If you crack it out then it has altered surfaces and is a bodybag candidate. Same thing goes for the Millennium set Sacs. Special finish if in the orginal holder or in a slab, altered surfaces if it isn't.
