DON'T ENTER ANYTHING YET, this is only an idea in progress
Now whilst PCI6 is on going, i've been having a think about different ways to approach this competition (lets face it, it changes every season to some degree), this season's notable change was the groups of three in the first round.
However to develop these ideas, i need a testing ground so i thought, what about a mini-PCI competition? With the added bonus of a faster turn around time per competition and it can also be used as a filler in between and as inspiration for the big competitions.
Spaces in this competition will be very limited indeed, simply because i've got a few ideas to try out and i don't want it to grow into the mammoth that is PCI6!
So i thought i'd go for a themed approach;
A- Maritime
B - Architecture & Buildings
C - Animal Kingdom (not heraldry)
D - Plants
E - Personifications (Liberty etc.)
F - Heraldry
G - Abstract (Arty type coins, like the Dali coins)
H - Religious Themes
4 places in each group available, only one entry per person (as in one coin in the competition, not one in each category).
Total coins in the competition = 32.
First rounds (the 'group' rounds) will see each coin play every coin in it's group so that there will be no straight forward eliminations in this. The top two from each group will proceed to round 2 once every coin has faced the other three in it's group. Not unlike a certain World Cup that England's about to get kicked out of, i hasten to add.
