BigAL
I have several of these 1921 Morgan Dollars which I understand are rare. I would appreciate help in grading these coins. All are in very good to excellent condition. Many thanks in advance
Art
So Al, what do you think the grade is? Do you see any flat spots from wear? Any fine lines that would indicate cleaning? This looks like a nice coin but I'd be reluctant to assign a grade with having the coin in hand.
ccg
The 1921 "peace" dollar is relatively scarce, but the 1921 "morgan" dollar on the other hand is by far the most common and readily available US silver dollar.
sevenof100
44,690,000 of these were minted. They are considered less desirable than any of the earlier year Morgans. Between 1904 and 1921 the original dies were destroyed so they had to make new ones for the 1921 Morgan. 1921 Morgans are slightly different in appearance to the earlier years.
