I am going to assume that the breaks in the luster on the reverse (buffalo's shoulder) are just scanner artifacts and say this is a 63.

hey guys and gals :ninja: This coin is in a 1st pattern PCGS holder... I agree with the grade it has been assigned...(if not a little higher)

but what grade is it??

i'm guessing ms62 if those are scanner marks on the reverse...

so when do you tell the answer?

Its a nice MS-64 but I don't think its Gem material. Fields look clean but way too many small hits on the high points. I'd be surprised if NGC gave it MS-65. I hope I'm wrong... good luck!

Gpnyc, with some of the coins I've seen in NGC holders, there's a chance it will go 65. For some reason they seem a bit "loose" on their Buffalo grading. Do you agree?

Could be just me though. Just my experience.
