Bower. 1 dollar note front was engraved by Edward Hein. 5 dollar note front, "Laura", was engraved by Richard Bower while the back, "Europa", was by Arthur W. Dintaman. The 10 dollar notes front design is a Marcus Baldwin engraving while the back, "Liberty", is a Richard M. Bower engraving. There were three printings for this series. Each printing contained all denominations. Denominations: 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, 1 dollar, 5 dollars, and 10 dollars. This was the first series of notes used in Vietnam. The 10 dollar note was heavily counterfeited. Howe while the back, "The Bouquet" was by Edward R. Felver. There was one printing for this series. Printed by U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing The design of the fractional notes obverse is called "Guardian" and was done by James Earl Frasier. The reverse is an Eagle. Designer information for the reverse is not available. The 1 dollar note reverse is "Pablo" and was designed by Marcus W. Baldwin. The front of the 5 dollar note, "Eve", was designed by Edward R. Felver and the back, "Elk", is thought to have been designed by Len Buckley. The front of the 10 dollar note is "Chief Hollow Horn Bear" by L. Schofield and the back, "Eagle", is by Charles S. Brooks. The front of the 20 dollar note is "Chief Ourey" by Noyes while the back is the "Roosevelt Dam" and the designer is unknown.
