Banknotesfanatic
I am all for it... she can be a legendary figure in african-American history and will fit perfectly...
thedeadpoint
Word on the street is that Eleanor Roosevelt is the favorite for the $10. Now, she's great and all but there are too many people that hate her (basically, anyone that wishes we were still in the 1800s). Moreover, it's Jackson we need to replace! Banknotesfanatic
Well, I think Harriet is a better candidate. Have nothing against E. R, but, I think having African American figure in U.S dollar is a brilliant idea, since we now have African American president, the time just couldn't be more appropriate to have her in the bill. My 2 cents.
Art1.2
Good points. Maybe it's time for the Harriet $20 and ER on the $50. Would be nice to see a redesign of the $2 note as well. Maybe replace 1/2 of the dollar note production with twos every year until there are no more ones. Then issue the dollar coin in sufficient quantities to be actually used everywhere. That's my 2cents
