Pocket pieces - What are you carrying?

It's been a few years but I was carrying a 1921 Morgan and 200x ASE. I lost the Morgan in my move and the ASE went through the dryer, causing a lot of damage to it. So I put that one in the bullion box, never to see light again.

Recently I purchased a 1971-S proof silver Ike and a proof SBA (forget the date) off eBay. Ike cost me $3 over melt, SBA 2x face. So basically I'm in this $4 over their "worth", whether it be face value or melt.

Going to be carrying these daily. In 20 years I'll submit them to PCGS in hopes of a PR-P01 grade. :) I've always wanted to see how proofs would age versus a circulated piece, so why not? It'll be fun. My hope is to image these at least monthly to keep up on their looks, whether it's a tiny or huge change.

I will carry both in the same pocket along with whatever other change I have. Probably find their way in my cell phone pocket once in a while as well.

Edit: Should clarify. Gun related. My other pocket piece is a Taurus .38 or if I'm feeling frisky, my 1911. ;)

Love the idea of the P01 slabbed modern proof. You'd have that rating locked up all on your own!

I used to carry a large cent with a surrounding dealer ring but they separated from each other. I believe it's now languishing in my collection.

I have an 1884 Morgan that is enclosed in a large ring that is on my key ring. I got it for melt at a pawn shop a few years ago.

Alternately my zipper pull is a 1992 Ukrainian 25 kopek that I got in change in Ukraine a few years ago - it already had a hole on it like it had been worn already so I put a loop in it and use it as a zipper pull on my jacket.

I have my pocket pieces in a box in my office. For some reason I don't bother carrying them anymore. I do always have a few dollar coins in my pocket but spend them when the need arises.

Right now I'm carrying an 1804 U.S. Dollar replica. I bought it a few weeks ago and dropped it on concrete by accident, dinging the rim nicely, so I just put it in my pocket. It's been bouncing around in there since April 20th.

I'm wondering how long before it's an XF45

Hmm, to be honest I haven't really kept anything in my pocket for over a year. I should buy another proof set and carry it around. Last thing I had was a counterfeit draped bust dollar. Choices choices... Maybe Maybe a dive into the ol' random non-us bin?
