Razgriz
Hey I got this bill today from a guy for 2 bucks and i think i got ripped off (I care more about the fact than for 2 freaking dollars xD). Anyways, here are some pics As you can see, the framework of the picture isn't perfect with the paper on either of the sides. Also, I have no idea of this, but it doesn't have any kind of texture or watermark.. but again, I have no idea if it is supposed to have it. The last thing is that it's "brand new", meaning it's been out of circulation. If you need any more details just say so. Thanks!!
thedeadpoint
You know.... I've accumulated a lot of foreign notes (I'm from the US) that are similar to that. And I wondered the same thing - why does it look like print on paper?? I think it's legitimate.
ccg
I don't see any obvious concerns with the notes. As for watermarks, consider that until the Journey (2001-) series, Canadian banknotes didn't have watermarks.
ccg
Also, low denominations notes generally don't have watermarks. A mark at the time would had been perhaps 20c (give or take), and the US$1 and US$2 have never been printed on watermarked paper.
