One ofthe posts we had listed all the different British ruled countries and we are still missing quite a few under this thread. I hope no one minds that this is not the main British coin forum but rather an offshot.

 

Here I will start Mauritius line, have a few coins I'll be happy to share of different times and designs. many will look similar to other British colonial coinage, some more specific to the British African coinage like scalloped Seychelles and Mauritius copper nickel issues. anyway, enjoy and everyone's controbutions are more than welcome.

 

Here is 1897 one cent, quite common coin but nicer grade, between good extra fine to an almost uncirculated.
