Heath's Improved, Enlarged, and Infallible Counterfeit Detector

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I have been a coin collector since I was a teenager and have had coins of all types. Recently, I sold most of my collector to go toward a down payment on a house. I'm sure some of you know how it is to sell coins that you have had for so long. While collecting coins, I aquired this book many years ago from the widow of one of my dealers. She had a stack of old coins books that he used. I didn't go through the box until later in life and to my surprise I from this hidden in there. It is laban Health's second edition. I know it is something special but I'm not sure what it would go for. Any ideals?

Would upload pictures but the file size only allows for 100k :ninja:

Do you have an asking price for it?

That's the thing, I don't really know what to ask because I'm not sure what it is worth. I am hoping someone on this forum will know something about its value and rarity :ninja:

I've yet to come across someone who knows anything about it but I haven't published that I have it online until now.

Like coins, it dpeneds on many variables. Original or a reprint. Date of printing. Quality of binding. Condition. Etc. Modern reprints run $20-30. Depending on quality of an original, they sell for $200 to $500 retail. I'm guessing wholesale around $100 to $300. But again, condition and quality has everything to do with the exact price the book might bring.

Yep, I would imagine so :ninja:

This is not a reprint. It does have some internal condition issues as a page or two is loose, as well as a plate. The pages are a little brown with age. Tissue paper is still intact and the binding is great.

Thanks for giving me a ball park range ;)
