Please be aware that some are racist and some are anti women etc, they meet the inflame part of what I say above (some also the funny) and do not reflect my opinions. Please add any from your own collections for us all to marvel at. This note depicts geese giving birth to two children. On the front you have a Jewish Woman who is breast feeding a sack of money A capitalistic greedy American on the right side A Jewish man rubbing his hands together on the left. The text also adds to this but i don't have a translation handy, any help here would be appreciated. I did see a french note with naked black ladies hanging off an army guy around here somewhere There is also a cook islands $3 note of a topless lady riding a shark i don't have one of these, anyone else able to supply? Scottishmoney Posted April 30, 2009 Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 The Cook Islands began issuing paper money in 1987, previously they used New Zealand currency in circulation. The release of this issue with "Ina and the Shark" on it, and on the $10 and $20 notes was popular with collectors because of the obvious design of the note. Ina and the Shark is a popular legend in the Island group about a girl who road through the seas on the back of a shark, when she was thirsty she would break a coconut on the sharks dorsal fin to crack it open and get the coconut juice. Once she cracked the coconut on the sharks head, angering him, so that the shark dumped her to be rescued by Tekea the Great, the king of all sharks. This issue was replaced with a newer issue in 1992, which all other than the $3 notes were recalled and Reserve Bank of New Zealand notes resumed circulation in the Cook Islands. Well, probably nothing - unless you're a Sweden! Because in Swedish the word "Baisa" (spelled "Bajsa", pronounced the same) means "poop" in English. So in Swedish, this is 100 Poop! All these notes were printed to make money, they were sold in sets to dealers who aroused an interest in these notes and artificially created a collectors' market.
