Nice dark toned example of early Mithradates II silver drachm (nephew of Mithradates I). A nice gVF portrait coin.

 

Mithradates II added `epiphanos' into the legends on his coinage (`god manifest'). Let's face it, apparently there was no place for any form of humility in ancient Parthia....... :ninja:

Super coins Ian. I'm guessing that ego-maniacs tended to rise to the top far more than the humble did.
