Mark Stilson
This group all have been graded by pcgs. Guess the grades?

Mark Stilson
I'm going to go ahead and post these. Kind of a trick question. All 50's To me I can't see how. Whether its the picture or someone was sleeping at pcgs. (Maybe a swapped coin?) The last one seems head and shoulders above the other two. But like the say, buy the coin not the slab. LostDutchman
I would have too.... VF EF AU Something is fishy there... they aren't always perfect... but a monkey can see that one.
Mark Stilson
This is why I always wondered how dealers may buy graded material blind. I know When I get on a website and they just show the grades its "okay, not interested."
TurtleBonker
Just proves that you should buy the coin and not the holder. There's no way I would pay AU money for the first two. The third is much better, in my opinion, than the first two.
Art
I'm not a "paying" PCGS member but did someone check the id numbers to see if they are legit?

Mark Stilson
I'm not a "paying" PCGS member but did someone check the id numbers to see if they are legit? The numbers match up with au 50 1875 s twenty cent pieces, but there is not a trueview picture on pcgs so I can't match if the coin is the same one. tommyd
Wow -- can anyone say "China"? Coins look VF20, F15 & XF45
Ætheling
Hmm interesting, whilst I very rarely grade Seated Lib coins I would honestly say that I graded them all differently (almost VF, good Fine and almost EF).
I_Am_The_Great_Coinholio
I always knew PCGS wasn't a reliable grading service. This post pretty much seals the deal. I personally like how ANACS grades coins. I've noticed their grading is quite conservative and reliable. I agree with deadpoint. I would have graded these coins exactly the same!
