The amount of ultra rare coins on display was simply amazing. From an PCGS MS67 1893 S Morgan silver dollar to 1943 bronze cents (yes there were more then one on display) the bourse floor was alive with energy! There were nearly a dozen world and domestic mints present from the Polish mint to the US mint. Some of the displays were simply awe inspiring. The US mint unvield its new ultra high relief gold eagle and had 6 gold bullion bars on display. The treasury had "the billion dollar paper money display" there were uncut sheets of 1, 5, 10, and 100 thousand dollar bills on display. From talking to dealers the general attitude was that the show was decent but just too darn big!!! There were some ultra rarities on display and I made sure to handle a few. I spent nearly 10 min examining one of the 1943 copper cents. I also examined quite a bit of early American coins for a customer. We handled a 1796 half dollar and quarter in AU 55. Another coin we examined was an 1909 S VDB in a PCGS MS66RD holder. The number of overgraded and cleaned coins appearing in top tier holders was down from shows past as the cream of the crop was displayed. I did meet a fellow CP'er but due to being super busy I was only able to spend a few moments chatting but it was wonderful meeting thedeadpoint!! Overall it was a very fun time and the city is great! If you ever get a chance to visit the city you should and if it happens to be during one of the baltimore coin shows that's even better!!!! Sitting in the airport.... Delayed..... But being unemployed and travelling a lot recently has kept me busy and poor. Sorry I didn't get to chat more. I was drained of energy and my nerves were frayed by the time I got out of htere. So much to see and do with so little time and money. Plus my search was relatively fruitless so that added a lot of stress too. AHH!!! I'll post pics when I can.
