The 42nd Semi-annual Lakeland, Florida Collectorama Show will be held this February 23-25, 2007 at the Lakeland Center, 701 West Lime Street, Lakeland, Florida. The Collectorama Show will features dealers of all types of Coins, Currency, and Numismatic material, and additional dealers who specialize in many areas of Neat Collectibles, including Postcards, Paper Americana, Antiques, Estate Jewelry, Stamps and Postal History, Baseball and Sports memorabilia, World’s Fair and Columbian Exposition material, Civil War and Confederate items, Floridiana, Ephemera, Treasure Coins and Artifacts, Advertising, Comic Books, Engravings, Old Books, Autographs, and a host of other popular Collectibles of every description.

 

The Collectorama Show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, and the show will feature Free Parking, Free Hourly Door Prizes, and a daily Free Hand Full of Money for all youngsters, twelve or under. There is a $3.00 Admission Charge that is Good for the Weekend, and a Free Appraisal Clinic for Coins, Currency, and Collectibles on Sunday. The Collectorama Show will also issue a special Souvenir Card, and the U. S. Postal Service will be on hand to “hand-cancel” the Souvenir Card for the first day of issue, for the cost of a 39 Cent stamp.

 

Thursdays, at the Collectorama Show are for dealer set-up, and dealer Special Bourse, where non-tabled hobby dealers gain entry, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., for a $25.00 (minimum) donation to Florida Youth Ranch. Visiting dealers attending must have a business card, and home-state sales tax number, for entry.

 

The new Montana State Quarters, and the first issue of the brand new Presidential Dollars, featuring George Washington, will be available during the show, and dealers will be on hand to buy, sell and trade all of the extremely popular modern Commemorative issues that have become so popular and profitable. There will be numismatic dealers that work with all aspects or rare coins and currency, bullion gold and silver, Gold, Silver and Platinum Eagles, Proof and Mint Sets, Silver Dollars, type coins, Foreign coins and currency, Medals and Tokens, Certified Coins, Obsolete Currency, and collector coins in every price range. There will also be dealers who work with collectible Thimbles, Swords, Stocks and Bonds, Cigar Box Labels, Toys, Reward of Merit Cards, Playing Cards, Movie Posters, Pocket Watches, Diamonds, Relics, Diamonds, Tiffany, Sterling Silver, Dinosaur Eggs, Minerals, and just about everything else.

 

All youngsters, twelve or under, will receive a daily dip into the show’s special Kid’s Bucket, for a free hand full of money. Our generous dealers and guests help keep the Kid’s Bucket filled up all weekend, with “numismatic goodies” and will include some gold coins. Dealers and guests are urged to bring along some neat material to donate to the Kid’s Bucket. All larger items, such as reference material, books, hobby supplies, holders, folders, albums, etc. will be distributed separately to each of the youngsters.

 

The rare coin and currency markets, and precious metal markets, remains “RED HOT”, and dealers will be on hand to buy as well as sell. Many of the various paper collectibles fields also remain very strong and active, and attendees are urged to bring in anything in Neat Collectibles that they would like to sell.

 

The host hotel for the Collectorama Show is The La Quinta Inn (formerly The Baymont Inn), 4315 Lakeland Park Drive, and are offering $64.00 rooms. While the February 23-25, 2007 Collectorama Show is completely sold out, show promoter Ed Kuszmar plans to double the space used at the Lakeland Center for the October 19-21, 2007 Collectorama Show.
