Interested in farthings? then it may be worthwhile having a look at my website. It is continuously expanding, and may help with identifying varieties.

I always welcome input and contributions, so if you have a new variety or type that is not listed let me know!!

Thanks for looking!! :ninja:

Colin

Excellent site and details...much appreciated from a fellow farthing buff.

Peter,

Thanks also for the comments, It has been a brilliant experience putting the site together and I have learnt many things. The Victorian farthings were my initial area of collecting, but I am slowly progressing further back in time. I am currently looking into the George III and George II farthings, but my collection is a bit thin, so I will be more reliant on other peoples contributions for these areas. If you have any images of any types not listed, please feel free to e-mail them to me and I will add them to the site with an "images courtesy of" note. I try to keep to scanned images to allow for easy comparison of date spacings etc.

What is your area of interest with farthings?

Always good to speak to a fellow farthing fanatic!! :ninja:

Hi Colin

My farthing interest is mainly copper and bronze currency.

It started as a date collection but has expanded into published and non puplished varieties.

It is a series I can work on but never finish.

I've recently worked on up grading Edward VII's series.

Of course I like BU farthings but pre 1860 in VF+ with good copper I really appreciate.

My wife realises I still need a couple of Biggies (varients on 1771 & 1717) I won't be rushed and now only go for the best I can afford.

Very well put together site, easy to navigate, lots of good information. Just briefly checked it out, will re-visit soon. I too collect farthings, have almost a complete date set British George V (Choice to Gem) and missing a few from Jamaica and the keys from South Africa. May have a few pictures if you need them.

Hi,

Thanks for the positive comments. I am always interested in extra images fo rthe site, I am due to be adding the Jamaica section shortly, so images for this section would be really useful. I am always interested in talking to fellow farthing collectors. Contact me via the website if you want.

Many Thanks

Colin G.
