Canadian colourized quarters

In 2000, as part of the Millennium celebration, the RCMbegan "colourizing" coins for collectors.<br>They started the program with 2 (of 12) quarters from the 2000 Millenniumseries,<br>January - "Pride" and July - "Celebration".<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized1.jpg" border="0"><br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized2.jpg" border="0"><hr><br>They followed the success of the Millennium seriescolourized quarters in 2001 with the "Spirit of Canada."<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized3.jpg" border="0"><hr><br>The tradition continued into 2002, with the "CanadaDay" issue.<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized4.jpg" border="0"><hr><br>2003 saw yet another "Canada Day" issue.<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized5.jpg" border="0"><hr><br>The Maple leaf theme continues into 2004.<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized6.jpg" border="0"><hr><br>With such success in the colourized quarter series,the RCM has begun expanding, with this issue to celebrate "RemembranceDay" (Canadian Veteran's Day). However, with this issue, they took a stepto the next level, and issued this as a circulation issue, with distributionthrough Tim Hortons®.<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized7.jpg" border="0"><hr><br>The release of the Santa Clause colorized quarter opensthe possibility of yet another annual series for the RCM to exploit.<br><br><img src="http://www.stujoe.com/images/camuseum/colorized8.jpg" border="0"><hr>

I really like these. I believe that I've even seen an ad for a typeset of Canadian colorized quarters. I think it was in CoinWorld. Does the color come off? :ninja:

Very nice. I like the colorized coins. It's tempting to start a set. (I really don't need another set to be ignoring right now).
